New Carabiner Keychains

New carabiner keychains out now.  I have been using mine daily for months now and I love it.  Has a really nice feel and works really well when riding because your keys fit down in your back pocket and are not dangling from your belt loops.  Just like the belts, these are very durable and will hold up to daily use very well.  There are many keychain options out there, but being made from repurposed used bicycle tires, I think these definitely stand out!  I will keep a few to choose from in the Photo Inventory, but I will primarily make these on a custom/per order basis and I have just about any color/brand combo available.  $10. with free shipping.

Happy New Year - 2012 Year In Review

2012 was an amazing year for Bicycle Belts.  Let me start off by saying a huge thank you to all my customers and people who have supported me in this venture.  I truly appreciate it!  Literally hundreds of tires were saved from the landfill by being made into belts and keychains.  International sales became more frequent this year and I'm proud to say that Bicycle Belts are now being worn in several countries around the world as well as all over the U.S.  When I first started making these belts, I never anticipated Bicycle Belts being where it is now.  I'm having a lot of fun doing this and I'm also so excited for all the relationships I've built with riders, customers, companies, shops, etc.

Throughout 2012, Bicycle Belts sponsored many races, rides, charity events, silent auctions, etc. locally as well as out of town, even as far away as Montreal.  I'm super proud to have been a 2012 sponsor of the 904Fixed Race Team out of Jacksonville Florida and look forward to continuing sponsorship for 2013.  These guys posted up some great results as well as organized some amazing races and events.  Our product collaboration, the 904Fixed x Bicycle Belts u-lock belts, sold exclusively in the 904Fixed Online Store have been doing very well and will continue to be available in 2013.  Be sure to check them out and show some support!

2013 is here and Bicycle Belts will be pumping out more quality belts and products, as well as sponsoring it's first event, The River City Crit 2, a fixed-gear only criterium race in Jacksonville Florida on Jan. 26th.

Bicycle Belts News

A lot has been going on with Bicycle Belts lately.  I've been putting out a lot of really nice belts and as always, I need to thank my local bike shops and friends for doing their part by saving their used tires for me instead of sending them to the landfill.  I've recently been working on a lot of custom belts as well, from riders who have used their tires in big races, tours, etc. I'm currently working on building up my inventory to have a large variety of belts to choose from in anticipation of the upcoming holidays.  In other news, be sure to follow Bicycle Belts on Instagram to keep up with the latest pics, and be sure to check the blog to keep up with news, cycling videos, etc.

904Fixed X Bicycle Belts Custom U-lock Belts

Bicycle Belts has been working on a collaboration with 904Fixed for a long time and it's finally time to reveal the finish product.  These are one-of-a-kind Bicycle Belts made from repurposed bicycle tires just like our regular belts, but we've added a custom u-lock holder made from polyester webbing.  The polyester webbing used for the holder is very strong and stretch resistant even in wet conditions. The u-lock holder is also adjustable via extra holes in the belt at either end, so you can custom fit to whatever u-lock you are using.  The 904 Fixed X Bicycle Belts logo is sublimated into the webbing which means it will not wear off like a screen printed logo on the surface would.  For the rider who would prefer to carry the u-lock on the right hip, the webbing could easily be flipped over and you would just wear the belt the opposite way. 

These belts have been tried and tested and you can rest assured that your u-lock will be held tight and secure, and also be easy to access.  These are very convenient for messengers and commuters who need quick, easy access to their locks, and also great for everyday rides where you don't want to have to wear your messenger bag, backpack, etc.

These belts will be exclusively sold through the 904Fixed Online Store and the first three belts are available now in custom Hellcat2 Alleycat Race colors.  Made from Red/Black/Grey Michelin Pro Race tires, these are limited edition and the only three that will be made in this color combination, so act quickly.  These won't last long!

Bicycle Belts News

So many positive things have been going on with Bicycle Belts lately, and I've been having a lot of fun!  First and foremost, I have to give thanks again to all my friends and local bike shops for saving their used tires for me.  I couldn't do it without you.  As more and more people become familiar with my belts and realize that their old tires can be reused, I seem to be saving greater amounts of tires from the landfills, and it feels good to make a difference, no matter how small it may be.

I have been making a lot of new belts and shipping to so many locations, and it's really exciting to know that someone in another part of the world is enjoying a product that I made.  Aside from making some nice, new batches of belts, I have been busy working on a collaboration with Bicycle Belt's sponsored team  904Fixed.  I can't give away too much info right now, but be sure to keep your eyes peeled on their site as the details will be coming soon!
